Our TLC is busy, very busy in fact, doing about 60,000 expedition miles a year guiding OneLife Adventure guests from Iceland to Algeria. The one thing it cant do is breakdown - which, as its a Toyota, it generally doesn't do anyway, but keeping it in top condition is key to our business and Julian is the guy we trust to do this. Few people in the UK understands what a truck has to go through on an expedition, what its like to live out of it and depend on it to get you home safe and sound, Julian is one of these. He consistently spots problems before they let us down far from workshops and spares, suggests sensible modifications based on his real experience of vehicle dependant expeditions. For example, a recent problem with the auto-transmission was diagnosed and fixed within 10 minutes, an adjustment of a sensor, not the new gearbox and torque converter that the main dealer said the car required.
His enthusiasm and knowledge is unrivalled in the UK (or Libya and
Morocco as well, BTW). We wish Julian and Overland Cruisers all the
